Made with big eye tuna and albacore, our awesome poke will blow your mind! We stole the recipe directly from Hawaii so you know it's legit! Also features avocado, gobo, marinated seaweed, and a poke dressing. It's actually a pretty healthy serving so sharing it with another person is highly recommended. It's kinda like a delicious fish meat salad. If you've never had it, especially at our place, you should try it out today. Available all day, lunch and dinner. If we could, we'd have it for breakfast!

We most definitely have the best Happy Hour in Orange County with our $2.99 sushi which includes albacore, peppered salmon, yellowtail, salmon, masago, escolar, natto, and shrimp. And that's for 2 pieces of sushi per order, so that comes out to $1.50 per piece of sushi. And then we have $3.99 appetizers with several items to choose from, including the pictured spicy garlic edamame and our baked mussels. And to drink, you have $12 Sapporo pitchers. Yep, enough food and drink for a complete meal every time. All day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on all other weekdays from 2pm till 5pm.

If you sit at our sushi bar, you're guaranteed a spot to interact with our awesome sushi chefs. Don't worry if you're a bit shy or unsure of what you want. Our sushi chefs will surely be gentle and considerate of your needs. They'll work on your comfort level surely and steadily so that on your subsequent visits, you'll be a master at conveying what exactly you want and how you want it. Nigiri, sashimi, soy paper, no wasabi, a brush of soy sauce, fresh wasabi... whatever you want and however you want it, our sushi chefs will always be more than willing to accommodate.

By now you should know that we are Bluefin Tuna specialists. We cut up between 2 and 4 whole Bluefins every month. You can get it sushi, or like in this picture, sashimi-style, which we serve with fresh shredded radish and fresh chopped wasabi. It's always great to get it as a sashimi when you're trying to watch your carb intake. We usually don't dip it in soy sauce. We take a little bit of the fresh chopped wasabi, put it on a slice of Bluefin tuna, and eat it just like that. Simple and quite delicious. Goes great with just about any sake we have in stock.

Well, it's the beginning of another week and it's time for Happy Hour all day Mondays & Tuesdays again! We have $4.50-$5.00 appetizers which includes spicy garlic edamame, shishito peppers, jalapeno poppers, and chicken gyoza. 8 total to choose from. That's quite a selection! On top of that, we also have $4 sushi, and $15 Sapporo pitchers! You can't go wrong at Orange County's best happy hour spot. Yeah, we said it. There's no doubt. Oh, and we can make the edamame non-spicy upon request.

One of the most popular sakes out there right now is Kikusui Junmai Ginjo. It's brewed with rice, water, and yeast out of Niigata-ken and is considered a dry sake. It's also called, "Chrysanthemum Water." We have heard from several customers that they notice hints of cantaloupe with a slight banana aroma in this sake Or maybe, you might taste something different? If so, we'd love to hear about it! It goes great with all kinds of sushi so it's a great one to get in general. We always have both a small bottle and a large bottle chilled and ready to serve.

There's no doubt our sushi bar is always happy during our Happy Hour, which is all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on all other weekdays from 2pm till 5pm. Our chefs love taking care of our customers and it shows. Our customers love it too, especially if they're paying for $2.50 sushi (for 2 pieces, 8 to choose from), $3.50 appetizers (over 10 to choose from), $2.50 sake, and $10 Sapporo pitchers. And there are still other items on our HH menu to make you happy. We want you to start ever week off right: happy. What's the point to life if you're not happy?

Every Monday and Tuesday, you should come into Sushi World just to have a pitcher. It's only $12 all day on both days. Why? Because it's our Happy Hour. And what better way to get happy than with a $12 Sapporo pitcher. After you're all lubricated, you might as well order some $2.99 sushi, $3.99 appetizers, and a bunch of other specials on our HH menu. And yes, there are plenty of items to choose from. And of course, we also have premium sake for you to consume if you want to really kick the week off right ;-).

Do you like Spicy Scallops, Tuna, and Albacore? Well, you're in luck. Have we got a sushi roll for you. We call it the Three Amigos Roll because they truly all are friends with one another. We take a spicy scallops sushi roll, top it with avocado, tuna, and albacore, and then dress it with poke sauce and scallions. There's so many complimenting flavors, it's ridiculous. And no, you don't need two other friends to enjoy this roll. Just get it. You won't regret it. And if you'd like a customized sushi roll not on our menu, feel free to suggest it to our sushi chefs.

Yep, we're in June already. How's the beach body coming along? We thought so. Luckily for you, we have some no carb options for ya. Two of our favorite items on the menu are Salmon Carpaccio and Jalapeno Yellowtail. As you can see, both clearly have no rice in them but are definitely full of flavor. Our Salmon Carpaccio consists of salmon sashimi slices and dressed with our own ponzu sauce with sesame seeds, green onions, and red onions.

We can't seem to eat sushi without sake. It's like a habit instilled in us as kids. Um, that doesn't sound right. Oh well. Yes, we love sake. And there are so many varying types now it makes it fun to try them all out. Our top 4 sake are Shirakabe Gura, Kiku-Masamune Taru, Kikusui, and Kurosawa. Have you had the privilege of trying out all of them? You could have, if you had attended one of our sake tastings. That's right, ladies and gents. We are giving away a free dessert to all Moms on Mother's Day! Come on in for one of our Prix Fixe meals for mom or just order whatever Mom wishes for Mother's Day. Our customers have a lot of favorites and here is yet, another one. If you haven't tried our Baked Blue Crab Rolls, you're missing out. It's a simple roll but we have a unique way of preparing our blue crab that will blow your mind. You can get it in a hand roll or as a cut roll. It doesn't matter as they're both great! And, it doesn't have any raw fish in it so it's safe for all your friends who are still not willing to eat raw fish. The roll features a garlic aioli and is wrapped in a black sesame seed soy paper. It's delicious!

Happy Hour all day on Mondays and Tuesdays means that you get to enjoy $2.99 sushi (for 2 pieces!). Sushi choices include Peppered Salmon, Albacore, Salmon, Yellowtail, Masago, Shrimp, Escolar, and Natto. And you also get to take advantage of our other HH deals: $3.99 appetizers (8 to choose from). And don't forget that Happy Hour is on all other weekdays from 2pm till 5pm, the hours at which most other sushi joints take their afternoon breaks. Yep, we don't need no stinkin' breaks.

Our sushi chefs are always adventurous and trying out new things. There was a time when we offered a Pop Rocks Sushi Roll on our specialty board for a while. We're not sure about how it was received but it was sure fun to make it and serve it for a while. Pop Rocks will always have that nostalgic quality for some of us adults who had to eventually grow up. We'll try to keep you informed about all of our different creations but the only way to truly know what we're experimenting with is if you come on in and take a seat at out sushi bar.

An item that is often neglected on our Happy Hour menu (and in general) is our Salmon Avocado Roll. It's very simple: just a piece of salmon and avocado in the center, wrapped in seaweed, rice, and toasted sesame seeds. Such a simple sushi roll but definitely hits the spot for taste and convenience. Our sushi chefs can whip this little bad boy up quickly so if you're in a rush to eat, try this one out. There are other items on our HH menu, too, but you'll have to come in to find out what they are. Or, look extensively through our site ;-).

Yay! The weekend is finally here and you get to kick back and relax. Well, we're not sure how you do that but if you look at this picture, this is how we do it. We line those sake bottles up and one by one, we knock them all down. Of course, we do this all the while eating some delicious sushi carefully prepared and crafted by our team of talented sushi chefs. They are always ready and willing to serve you so feel free to take a seat at our sushi bar or, if you have the tendency of ordering a lot of food (and a lot of sake), then get a table.

It's been a minute since we've posted about one of our sushi rolls. Let's get back on track with our signature roll, our Cypress Roll! It's center consists of shrimp tempura, cucumber, and avocado. It's topped with our snow crab mix, strawberries, and a sweet sauce. So, as you can tell, it has not raw fish in it so it's very sushi-virgin safe. Despite that, it is still very delicious and tasty. We wouldn't name it after the city we're in for nothing. It's been a minute. That's really a weird new expression these kids have come up with nowadays.

Just because it's not fish, don't disregard our Beef Tataki on the Happy Hour menu. It's an incredibly tasty item that we carefully make in-house. It is raw but you won't even notice it when you put it in your mouth. After it's been marinated, seared, and then aged, we carefully slice the beef into little medallions and then lightly dress them. An order is only $3.50 (along with 10+ other appetizers) during our Happy Hour, which is all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on all other weekdays from 2pm till 5pm.

Yep, it's not for everyone. But for those who know how delicious Uni is, this close-up should make your mouth water. You can see the texture, which although looks like your tongue, it just melts in your mouth like butter. It's almost always on our specials board so just holler it out to our awesome sushi chefs and they'll whip up a few orders for you. It definitely goes well with one of our premium sakes. If you ever need help deciding on a sake pairing, don't hesitate to ask our servers or our chefs (if they're not too busy) for an appropriate sake that will best suit your liking.

A very popular item that's on our Happy Hour menu that nearly does not get enough attention is our Smoked Albacore Hand Roll. It's only $4.50 each during Orange County's best Happy Hour, which is all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on all other weekdays from 2pm till 5pm. This close-up picture should give you a pretty good view of what it consists of: plenty of smoked albacore, fried onions, cucumber, and some other secret goodies.

Three staples that we almost always have in stock are our Yellowtail, Salmon, and Albacore. They're kinda the basics when it comes to nigiri sushi. Our Yellowtail comes from Japan, while our Salmon and Albacore are locally sourced. There are plenty of other items you'll have to come on in and try out. We're not sure how long we'll have it, but currently on our Specials Board is Fried Baby Crabs. Yep, they're tiny and they're delicious. Just pop them in your mouth and eat them all up. It's just like eating fries, but way better. Always, always check our specials board when you come in for a visit. We love mixing things up and adding different things to the menu so there's always something new for you to try. Amaebi is still on the specials board so if you still haven't tried live sweet shrimp, you're definitely missing out.

One of our most favorite sushi to eat is always yellowtail, especially when you can see the little blood line along the cut. It's conveniently featured during our Happy Hour, along with albacore, salmon, peppered salmon, natto, shrimp, and escolar. $2.99 for 2 pieces. And appetizers, like the pictured Bake Mussels and Spicy Garlic Edamame, go for only $3.99 an order. There are many different appetizers to choose from for only $3.99. An item that has moved from our specials board to our regular menu is our Hotategai, better known as Jumbo Scallops. As we do with many of our items, our Hotategai comes to us from Japan. It's definitely a different texture and taste from regular fish sushi. If you are familiar with cooked Scallops, raw Hotategai has the same texture except that it might be a bit softer. And its flavor is very refreshing and feels more meaty than your typical raw fish sushi.

If you have yet to try our Peppered Salmon, you're truly missing out. And lucky for you, it's only $2.50 for 2 pieces during Happy Hour, which is all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on all other weekdays from 2pm till 5pm. Along with the Peppered Salmon, we also have escolar, albacore, masago, natto, salmon, and shrimp included in the Happy Hour menu, along with $3.50 appetizers, $2.50 sake, and $10 Sapporo pitchers. There's plenty of deliciousness to fill you up so no need to worry about that.

We enjoyed making this Uni Pasta so much for Valentine's Day that we decided to officially add it to the menu! Don't let this picture fool you. It's actually a very hefty serving that's as rich and flavorful as it looks. As long as there's a demand for it, we'll continue making it. So come on in and have a serving to see what you think. If you love uni, and we know that you do, you'll love this dish completely. It's definitely an entree so order some appetizers and sushi first. Otherwise, you might not have any more room for it.
